We have created many bevelled glass commissions over the years and you can view some of our Past Works commissions in the gallery below. The Past Works gallery gets updated regularly with customers’ photos of their new glass. This gallery is a great place to find out what can be created with our bevelled glass product.
Proofing Process
Every bevelled glass panel we create is tailor-made to suit a client’s window or door. On every order, we produce a proof for the client to review showing a preview of how their finished panel will look. This gives our clients the confidence that the glass they receive will be exactly as they envisaged. It also gives them the opportunity to revise aspects of the design if needed. This might be swapping a colour or adjusting the layout of the design etc. After the proof has been approved, we then begin production on the perfect bevelled glass for the client’s London home.
Recent Bevelled Glass commissions around London….
American Bevelled Glass Doors & Sides – SW14
The stunning bevelled glass set below was a proof we supplied to London clients in 2018. This American Bevelled design is a bespoke pattern and it is the only time we have created this pattern for any client. The glass panels were extremely large almost 2.5 metres tall. The glass was supplied as 6mm toughened safety. As we do with all bevelled glass patterns, we UV bonded each bevel to the toughened safety glass and this makes these panels extremely strong and durable.
Bevelled Glass Toplight – Mayfair
In 2024 we created a very unique toplight for clients in the Mayfair area of London. The reason this specific commission is classed as ‘unique’ is because a sandblasted motif was etched into the centre bevel. The client wasn’t totally settled on a specific layout or budget. We gave the client 2 options for them to choose from. They had told us they would like a bevelled border, with one version showing diamonds and one version showing rectangles. You can see the two versions we offered the client here – Client Drawings. As you can see by the image below, the diamonds version was selected.
Mackintosh Bevelled Glass Windows – W8
Way back in 2016 we received an order for multiple bevelled glass panels with a Mackintosh theme. The designs chosen were from our Bevelled Glass Mackintosh Range. The oval rose is the bevelled element in these panels and each curve of the bevel really bounces the light around. The drawing below was one of many drawings we supplied for approval before the glass was made. If you visit the Client Page for this commission you will see all of the other matching panels created for this project.
Stunning Door Entryway
In 2013 we created a set of 6 double glazed units with this stunning bevelled glass design. The homeowner in London wanted the ‘WOW’ factor for their new door glass and we came up with this design. The bevels were all clear with the background texture being our Gluechip effect. The bevelled glass border was made with 38mm rectangle bevels and we used our popular Aged Lead for the leadwork.
How is Bevelled Glass Made?
Our bevelled glass is created using a solid sheet of toughened safety glass as the base glass. We then UV bond the required bevelled glass pieces onto the glass. These might be diamonds, square or rectangle pencil bevels or decorative shaped clusters. This process essentially fuses the bevelled pieces and toughened glass base into one solid panel which can never be separated. We then apply lead to the front of the panel to create the design. Then any colours or textures that are required are applied, we then back lead the panel to complete it. The finished panel can be left as a single glazed piece or sealed into a double glazed unit. We can supply double glazed units between 14mm an 28mm thick going up in 2mm steps.

American Bevelled Glass
One of the most popular bevelled glass designs we receive is for our American Bevelled designs. This design is made up of many small bevelled square and rectangle pieces which makes it adaptable to almost any size. Due to the high number of bevels per panel, this style of bevelled glass is one of our more costly offerings but it is unquestionably of our most impressive.
The beautiful bevelled glass feature window below was made for clients in Chelsea back in 2012. The window glass was ordered by an American family and it was the beginning of our American bevelled Glass range. Since then we have created dozens of similar style window and door glass panels using this style. Visit the commission page to see more photos of this stunning window.
