Founded in 1994, the Leadbitter Glass Studio has been supplying Bevelled Glass panels to homes and businesses across Guildford ever since, delivering to every other part of the UK too. Guildford’s older streets were originally fitted with etched or stained glass, but Bevelled Glass has become a popular contemporary upgrade for homeowners right across the town, bringing a sharper, more reflective style of decorative glass to doors and windows.

Each panel is built from dozens of small individual pieces of glass arranged into a pattern, supplied as single or double-glazed glass for windows and doors. With hundreds of stock designs to choose from — diamonds, squares, rectangles, teardrops and more — there’s rarely a shape or layout we can’t put together. Most orders qualify for free delivery across Guildford.

Bevelled patterns are trickier to picture in advance than most, since so much depends on exactly how the individual pieces line up against your own glass size. That’s why every Guildford order comes with its own Client Page, showing a drawing built to your millimetre-accurate measurements a few days after ordering. If a bevel cluster looks crowded, or you’d rather see it shifted off-centre, just say so — we’ll amend the drawing until you’re happy, and nothing gets cut until you approve it.

American Bevelled Glass

American Bevelled Glass is one of our most requested styles — hundreds of small rectangular and square bevels, set edge to edge to cover the whole panel. It’s a look with real roots in American glasswork, and one you’ll likely have seen on screen without knowing its name. Our rectangular pencil bevels come in a wide range of widths and lengths, so there’s real scope to design something that suits your particular door.

Every bevel is hand-fitted and UV bonded onto a single sheet of toughened safety glass. That’s a meaningful departure from the older method, which relied on lead alone with no glass base underneath — closer, structurally, to a jigsaw held together at the edges than to a proper window.

Building on toughened glass closes off the draughts a lead-only panel leaves behind, and the whole thing can be double glazed for extra insulation. Some bevel shapes and clusters are also available in bronze, blue, or green glass, and a few pieces come with a Gluechip texture for a bit more depth.
