Surrey Decorative Glass

Leadbitter Glass manufactures and delivers many different forms of decorative glass around the Surrey area. We manufacture and deliver Etched Glass, Bevelled Glass, Overlay Stained Glass and Fused Glass panels. We specialise in manufacturing and delivering bespoke glass to residential customers but we have also supplied glass for use in blockbuster movies and some of the worlds largest corporations.

Our studio produces four distinct types of decorative glass which are available for delivery to homes in Surrey.

1. Etched Glass to Surrey

Of the many types of decorative glass we supply, Etched Glass is one of the most popular requests we receive from the Surrey area. The image above shows what etched glass looks like and basically, it is an obscure background with a clear design. All designs are obviously available in the opposite style – clear background and etched design. We have hundreds of designs in our Etched Glass Gallery and popular styles are Traditional or our Shadows Of Nature.

Other popular etched glass galleries are our Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the House Names and Numbers gallery. We can also create bespoke etched glass panels based on your own photos or drawings. All glass is available single or double glazed. As with all decorative glass orders, a scale proof is created for client approval before the glass is started.

Etched Glass Room Names Doors – Lingfield

A Surrey client approached us recently requesting 3 large full height glass panels for their internal doors. They wanted the room name of each room etched into the glass. We also added some quirky artwork to add to the design of the glass and you can view the designs here – Etched Glass Room Names

Art Deco House Number KT2

We recently supplied this Art Deco house number to a home in the Leatherhead area of Surrey. As the panel was quite large, we made the number as ELEVEN instead of 11. We used an Art Deco font and the result was simple but stunning. View the customer proof – Art Deco House Number Surrey

Surrey Etched Glass Vestibule

Etched Glass Vestibules are really popular today and we created a set recently for a Surrey client. Although this clients door had a solid wooden door, the outer panels we ordered from us. We created a matching set of etched glass panels with the top panel having the house number. View the pre-manufacture proof of the glass – Etched Glass Doorway Surrey

Trailing Leaves Bathroom Window

Privacy is always important but no rooms are as important as bathrooms when it comes to privacy!! A client recently ordered etched glass with us but they requested as much privacy as possible. We created this trailing leaves design using Satin privacy glass. View our drawing of the Trailing Leaves Window

Etched Glass Circles Epsom

A Surrey student approached us for assistance in creating an etched glass panel featuring circles for an examination piece. The student forwarded the exact design they wanted so it was just a matter of copying their artwork. Here is a photo of the finished panel – Etched Glass Circles Panel

Victorian Etched Glass Door & Transom

A client form Staines Upon Thames requested a Victorian Etched Glass door and transom set. This order was way back in 2012 but the finished glass looked even older. We provided 2 versions of the same design as the panels were quite slim. View the options given to the client here – Etched Glass Door & Transom

Falling Leaves Windows – Walton On Thames

We created a beautiful set of windows for a client in Surrey recently. They chose our popular Hallhill Leaves design to be featured across multiple panels. The glass panels were supplied single glazed and you can see the drawings here – Sandblasted Leaves Window

House Number in Door

A Surrey client approached us to have their house number featured in their new door glass. They lacked an area for a panel above the door where the number would usually be featured. They had already drawn exactly what they wanted so we manufactured the glass for them. You can see the proof we provided for them before manufacture here – Etched Glass Door Number

Shaped Door Glass With Victorian Design – Epsom

A Surrey homeowner sent us a photo of their door that featured shaped glass sections. They wanted a Victorian Etched Glass style for their new glass panels. We got to work and created multiple versions for customer approval. you can see the various drawings here – Etched Glass Arched Door

2. Overlay Stained Glass to Surrey

The above image shows a great example of an Overlay Stained Glass panel. This type of glass is also one of the most popular requests we receive from the Surrey area. As with all of our glass, single glazed and double glazed options are available. Toughened safety glass is supplied as standard for all orders. Popular styles requested are chosen from our Charles Rennie Mackintosh gallery and the Frank Lloyd Wright gallery.

There are many other patterns to choose from such as Countryside Landscapes and traditional designs from our extensive Door Galleries. The Main Gallery is the place to start and if you cannot find a suitable design, send us your own design. We create bespoke glass panels every day so we can also make glass inspired by your current glass or from a photo/drawing you have.

3. Fused Glass to Surrey

The photo above shows one of our Fused Glass leaves that is used in our popular fused glass patterns. Our fused glass panels are created by etching the background with the addition of stunning fused glass tiles. We create these hand-made fused glass tiles in our UK studio and many colours can be requested.

Popular fused glass galleries include our Mackintosh Gallery and our Tree Of Life Gallery. Our fused glass tiles are all hand cut and then they are placed in our kiln. 18 hours later they are fused and ready to be used to make our stunning glass panels. Fused Glass tiles are some of the most beautiful glass features we make. As standard, all glass is toughened and can be supplied single or double glazed.

4. Bevelled Glass to Surrey

The image above is a Bevelled Glass window we created for clients in Chelsea. This design is part of our popular American Bevelled Glass range and the photo is stunning example of the beauty of bevels. There are thousands of bevels to choose from and we can create toughened glass panels with stunning bevelled patterns. Again, single or double glazed is available and as standard we produce a drawing for approval before manufacture.

What we do

Our decorative glass studio specialises in creating bespoke decorative glass panels for homes and businesses in Surrey. We also supply our glass anywhere in the UK and we sometimes receive orders from around the world. Most of the orders we receive are from homeowners looking to replace their old or damaged glass. If you have plain or boring glass in your front door we can supply stunning new decorative glass to give your door a whole new lease of life.

We supply toughened safety glass as standard for all our products. You can choose single or double-glazed options or even triple glazed glass if it is required. We can provide laminated or Fire rated glass but these types of glass carry extra charges on top of a standard quotation.

Our service

When customers place an order with us, they get to preview their glass design before we make the actual glass. Our glass artists create high quality proofs to show you, the client exactly how your glass will look before manufacture. Once you get to see the drawings, you would have the opportunity to request alterations to the layout and colours. We only create the actual glass once the client has told us the design is absolutely perfect. After creating the glass, we deliver it directly to your Surrey home or your chosen window or door supplier.

We also supply Decorative glass to the surrounding areas of Surrey including:
