How Our Etched Glass Is Made

We start every panel with a sheet of toughened safety glass, over which a mask is laid, cut precisely to your chosen pattern. High-pressure abrasive then blasts the exposed glass into a permanent frost, while everything under the mask stays perfectly clear — the pattern stands apart from its surroundings by design, never blurred into the rest of the glass around it.

Because that frost is worked into the glass rather than stuck onto it, there’s nothing to peel or discolour later — unlike a stick-on “etch effect” film, which tends to yellow and start lifting within a couple of years.
