Since 1994, the Leadbitter Glass Studio have supplied etched glass to hundreds of homes around Wales including Cardiff and the surrounding areas. Originally we were a trade supplier but today we mainly deal direct with the public so you don’t have to pay middle men fees and you get to discuss your personal order directly with one of our glass artists.

Etched glass can also be known as sandblasted glass and it is one of the oldest forms of decorative glass on the market today. Our vast Etched Glass Gallery has over 1000 beautiful designs to choose from but you can also supply your own unique pattern if you want a personal touch for your new glass. Etched glass is a very popular choice for house numbers or house names for glass panels above doors. We have a dedicated gallery showing some of the most popular requests for house names and numbers. One of the most popular etched glass requests we receive is for our Shadows Of Nature etched glass range. The image of the ‘Autumn Tree’ above is an example from this range and we have created dozens of panels from this range for customers in the Cardiff area.

Traditional or Modern?

The majority of the etched glass panels we manufacture are based on traditional designs so the glass is ‘in keeping’ with the style of the home but we also create many panels with modern contemporary patterns.

Only a small percentage of the jobs we create end up featuring on the Client Page section of the website but we do like to add client jobs to that section if they are a little bit different to our standard gallery designs.
