Our studio produces four distinct types of decorative glass which are available for delivery to homes in Bury.

1. Etched Glass to Bury

Of all the types of decorative glass we create in our studio, Etched Glass (sandblasted glass) is one of the two most popular glass types we receive orders for. The above photo shows an etched glass pattern made with an obscure background and the detail being clear glass. Any pattern chosen from our website can be ordered in the opposite style, so a clear background with the design being etched. The main gallery of the website contains thousands of glass designs to choose from. Our etched glass gallery has hundreds of unique and stunning designs and you can view them here – Etched Glass Gallery. Some of the most requested designs are our Traditional and our Shadows Of Nature galleries.

Other popular glass patterns can be found in our Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired gallery and the House Names and Numbers range. We don’t just supply glass with designs chosen from our website, we also create unique bespoke designs based on the customers own requirements. All glass is supplied as toughened glass as standard and it can be ordered in single or double glazed toughened format.

2. Overlay Stained Glass to Bury

The traditional tulip pattern above is a 1930s design that we supplied to customers way back in 2004. Although this glass looks like it was created using the older ‘jigsaw’ method of stained glass, it was actually manufactured using our Overlay Stained Glass technique. This modern method uses thicker and more solid toughened safety glass. Over the years we have created hundreds of Overlay Stained Glass panels for homes around Bury. All orders placed with our studio are available in either single glazed panels or double glazed units. From the thousands of glass designs in our galleries, the Mackintosh galleries and the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired galleries are some of the most popular galleries that customers tend to select designs from.

Other popular pattern requests that we receive are from our Countryside Landscapes range and our River & Seas designs. Victorian, Georgian and traditional style designs can also be found in our Door Galleries. Our door galleries have a great feature where you get to see different glass designs in your colour of door. You can change the colour of a door to show you how our glass may look in a specific colour so it will give you a better idea of how your preferred design may look once installed. The Main Gallery is the best part of the website to start searching for inspiration. If you still don’t find a design that appeals to your own tastes or requirements, maybe look into requesting a quote for a bespoke pattern to be created just for you! You can send in an photo or drawing of a glass design you would like and we will calculate a quote based on your glass sizes. We create many unique designs for clients every month. Some of our glass artists have spent more than 30 years bringing bespoke and unique glass ideas to life.

3. Fused Glass to Bury

The close-up photo above is a picture of one of our stunning Fused Glass leaves. These leaves are used in some of our popular Fused Glass patterns. Our fused glass panels are usually always made with the background being etched and the lines being clear glass. This style helps with privacy in doors and windows. We have many different fused glass tiles for you to choose from and because we make them ourselves, we can also make unique tiles with your own preferred colours. Find any design you like and swap colours out for your own preferred colours. Changing colours costs no more than a standard design.

Our most popular fused patterns are featured in our Mackintosh Inspired Gallery The Tree Of Life Gallery is also a popular gallery for clients choosing fused glass panels. As mentioned above, the fused glass tiles we use are all hand cut and kiln-fired in our dedicated glass studio. We use art glass materials from Venice and the USA during the manufacturing process of our fused glass tiles. 18 hours is the time it takes to create a fused glass tile but they are worth every minute once you see them used in a stunning glass design. Fused Glass tiles become around 6mm thick when they are fired and these 3D glass features really do give a whole new look to a decorative glass panel. As with all orders placed with Leadbitter Glass, toughened glass comes as standard and our glass is available as single glazed or double glazed units.

4. Bevelled Glass to Bury

This elegant Bevelled Glass feature window above was created by the Leadbitter Glass studio for American clients in 2012. The panel was to be delivered to a home in Chelsea and the homeowner had a piece of fire rated glass installed behind the bevelled glass panel. You can see some better images of this commission here. This pattern is from our popular American Bevelled Glass range. The photo is a great example of how such a simple glass feature can be used to create a stunning feature window. As with all orders placed with Leadbitter Glass, a scale proof of your chosen design will be supplied to the customer for approval before any work starts on the actual glass.
