How Our Fused Glass Is Made

Every Fused Glass panel is built on the same foundation as our etched work — a sheet of toughened safety glass, sandblasted first to lay down the background pattern. From there, individually shaped pieces of coloured glass are cut and UV bonded straight onto that surface, one piece at a time, so what starts as two plain materials ends up as a single piece worth genuinely more than either was on its own.

The fused pieces stand around 6mm proud of the surface, giving genuine texture where the pattern calls for it, while the rest of the panel stays flat, built on the same toughened glass base as everything else we make. There’s no re-leading or re-glazing to think about later, and a double-glazed version is available if you’d like the extra insulation.
