Stained Glass War Cloister – Winchester

In 2025 a client from Winchester approached us with the hope of commissioning an overlay stained glass window depicting Winchester’s historic War Cloister. They sent us a photo of the War Cloister they would like us to use (which you can see below) and we confirmed it was possible. They placed the order, we produced a proof of the design which they were thrilled with and then produced the panel you see below.

Winchester’s War Cloister is a large, open-air memorial at Winchester College, dedicated to alumni who died in World War I and later conflicts. Completed in 1924, it features a quadrangle with stone arches, engraved tablets, and a central cross, creating a solemn and reflective space. It is one of the largest private war memorials in the UK.
