Sandblasted Glass Trees – Bristol

In early 2013 a Mr Sopp from Bristol contacted our studio enquiring if we could ‘re-create on glass’ a pattern of a tree that was featured throughout his home wallpaper. We explained that we can create almost any design in etched glass so the client arranged a vist to our studio and supplied an off-cut of wallpaper featuring the design. Mr Sopp also supplied the actual wooden doors so we took photos of the doors to use in the Computer Generated Proof.

The etched glass kitchen hatch glass design was very detailed and there are hundreds of individual lines in each tree. The background of the glass was sandblasted and the tree was left in clear glass as per the clients request. There were 2 panels – a left hand panel and the right handed panel had a mirror image of the same design.
