Founded in 1994, the Leadbitter Glass Studio has been supplying Fused Glass panels to homes and businesses across Kirkcaldy ever since, delivering to every other part of the UK too. How Fused Glass Is Made
Every Fused Glass panel begins life as a sheet of toughened safety glass, sandblasted first to establish the etched background. Small pieces of coloured glass are then individually shaped and UV bonded straight onto that surface, building the finished design up layer by layer.
Standing roughly 6mm proud of the surface, the fused tiles add real texture exactly where it’s wanted, while the surrounding panel remains flat, built on the same toughened glass base used across our whole range. That keeps all the durability and thermal efficiency of a single sheet of toughened glass — there’s never any need for re-leading or re-glazing — and a double-glazed version is available for further insulation.
