Failte and Croseo etched glass – Ayr, Scotland

In 2018, we received an order from a couple who wanted a pair of etched glass panels to represent their heritages and welcome visitors to their new build home. The man was Scottish and the lady was Welsh. The first panel features the word “failte” while the second says “croseo”, meaning “welcome” in Scottish and Welsh.

The customer supplied a hand drawn image of a thistle and daffodil intertwining (national flowers of Scotland and Wales) which they wanted on both panels. From their drawing, we produced the double glazed sandblasted panels below.
