Etched Glass Pub Door for the Earlham Arms – Norwich

In late 2012 the Leadbitter Glass Studio was asked by a London design company to create 2 pieces of 6mm toughened etched glass for a pub/restaurant renovation in Norwich. The door glass below was created and now welcomes guests to the newly opened pub in the town centre of Norwich. Celebrity master chef Chris Coubrough, from – ITV’s Coastal Kitchen, has taken on the Earlham Arms in Earlham Road, Norwich and the establishment was due to open its new etched glass doors for the first time in early December 2012.

The etched glass pub door glass was created using thicker than average 6mm toughened glass and the background of the glass was sandblasted to give the etched glass finish. Some of the bottles and glasses were left clear as was the outer lines of remaining design elements. As these panels were supplied single glazed, we protected the sandblasted areas with our Sandblast Protection product to help reduce staining of the sandblasted areas.
