Original panel that was broken
In late 2011 we were approached to create a duplicate bevelled glass door design for a shaped door panel that had recently been damaged. The materials used to create the original glass design are not available in the UK as they originate from China so we explained to the client that we can create a similar design, but we cannot create an exact copy.
The original door was purchased from a large DIY chain and the glass was an imported panel that only comes with new doors. We searched through the glass bevels available to us in the UK and eventually we created the design below using bevel pieces and clusters from our UK stocks.
The glass panel was created using toughened glass and it was a double glazed sealed unit.
