Etched Glass For Keira Knightley Movie

In late 2011 the Leadbitter Glass studio was approached by Green Twig films from Shepperton Studios to create an intricate sandblasted glass design for 10 mirrors and one door for the new Keira Knightley movie – Anna Karenina. The art department for the movie contacted the Leadbitter Glass Studio and asked if we could create a very intricate border design around 10 of their own mirrors for a new film that was currently shooting in England.

The artwork for the glass was emailed to us and we informed the film studio that this small detailed work would not be a problem for our glass artists. The mirrors arrived at our glass studio a few days later and all 10 mirrors were sandblasted and back on set at the studio within a day or two. We were also asked to create a glass door panel for the film and this was delivered on location in Oxfordshire.

The Leadbitter Glass Studio can create bespoke decorative glass panels for TV and Film work. We can create original decorative glass or imitation decorative glass designs on ‘sugar glass’ for use in stunts or toughened glass for standard set decoration.
