Victorian Etched Glass Bay Window – Twickenham
In 2024 a client in Twickenham asked us to make new glass for the lower panels of their bay window. Being so low down, these single glazed panels needed privacy, so instead of leaving clear areas in the design we etched our traditional design 1253 onto Stippolyte textured glass. The Stippolyte keeps the unetched parts obscured, while the frosted Victorian scrolls and double line border still stand out when the light comes through.
The client was given two options to compare, one with most of the glass etched and one with most of it left as plain Stippolyte. Both were shown as realistic proofs before anything was made, and you can view their drawings on the client page. The photos show one of the finished panels in our studio before it was fitted.
