Fused Glass Bevelery
Founded in 1994, the Leadbitter Glass Studio has been supplying Fused Glass panels to homes and businesses across Beverley ever since, delivering to every other part of the UK too. Where Beverley’s older buildings, clustered around the Minster and North Bar, were traditionally fitted with etched or stained glass, Fused Glass has become a popular contemporary upgrade for many homes across the town, bringing genuine texture and depth to doors and windows.

Every Fused Glass design begins with an etched glass background, onto which small handmade fused tiles are kiln fired and incorporated into the panel, giving each piece a real sense of scale and dimension, whether the finished panel is compact or a genuine full-height feature. Panels are supplied as single or double-glazed glass, built to your own sizes for any door or window. The great majority of orders qualify for free delivery across Beverley.

We’ve supplied glass for a Prime Minister’s home, for Hollywood film sets, and for well-known musicians and billionaires — though the vast majority of what we make is still for homeowners across Beverley. We also produce other styles of Decorative Glass for Beverley clients, including Stained Glass, Bevelled Glass, and Etched Glass.

Our Free Client Pages Design Service
Fused Glass has more moving parts than most of our ranges — the background pattern, the tile shapes, the colourway — so every Beverley order gets its own Client Page before a single tile is fired. A computer-drawn proof, built to your exact glass, appears there within a few days of ordering, giving you the full picture rather than a rough impression. If a colour needs adjusting, or a tile resizing, tell us and we’ll amend it — as many rounds as it takes.

How Our Fused Glass Is Made
We build every Fused Glass panel on the same foundation as our etched work — a sheet of toughened safety glass, sandblasted first to lay down the background pattern. From there, individually shaped pieces of coloured glass are cut and UV bonded directly onto that surface, one piece at a time, so the finished design has genuine depth rather than sitting flat like a printed film.

The fused pieces stand roughly 6mm proud of the surface, giving genuine texture where the pattern calls for it, while the rest of the panel stays flat and built on the same toughened glass base as everything else we make. There’s no re-leading or re-glazing to think about later, and a double-glazed version is available if you want extra insulation.
