Coronavirus Statement

Statement from Francis Leadbitter – MD of Leadbitter Glass Ltd

Given the unprecedented situation regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, I want to let you know the situation with current orders and future orders at this time.

During this Coronavirus pandemic, the Leadbitter Glass Studio will be trading as normal. We are a small family business and our staff are made up of immediate family members so working at Leadbitter Glass is like self isolating at work 🙂 We work together and we live together.

Current and future orders

We still welcome enquiries and glass orders by email or over the phone. All orders placed will be manufactured and delivered as normal. The only change we are making is not permitting clients to visit our showroom during this period. Leadbitter Glass is one of the most financially secure companies in the UK today. We own our own factory premises outright so we have no rent to pay. We also pay no business rates due to the SBRR scheme so we have very little financial outlay. Leadbitter Glass has no company debt so there is no financial risk to our customers.

Cleanliness of our product

All orders dispatched are cleaned down with strong industrial glass cleaners before being dispatched. Obviously with any package you would receive via a courier, wash your hands after removing the glass from the packaging.

UPDATE MARCH 27th: Today our toughened glass supplier closed until further notice so we cannot create glass for any future orders until they re-open. All orders currently placed with us will still be manufactured and delivered as usual. We are still accepting orders and the artwork for the designs will be created and supplied to the customer as usual. We just cannot create the actual glass until our supply chain re-opens in the coming weeks. If anything changes in the coming weeks I will update you here so please visit regularly to keep updated.
