Panels To Match Zinc Art Abstract Door Glass

A popular request we receive comes from customers that are purchasing a composite door featuring the ‘Zinc Art Abstract’ design or ‘Madrid’ (below) as it is sometimes known. These glass inserts come pre-installed in composite doors and the glass is originally made in China so matching side panels or fanlights cannot be ordered from the door suppliers. The Leadbitter Glass studio can create a very close match using different materials and different techniques. We can create matching panels using silver lead, soldered joints and frosted overlays with bevelled glass pieces.

The first photo below is an original Zinc Art Abstract panel from a composite door company. The image below that, is a panel that we created to match the original and you can see the similarity of the finished products. This glass design can be created to match half moon panels, half glazed panels and split glazed door glass panels.
