Fused & Etched Room Glass Partition – Leighton Buzzard

room_partitionIn late 2012 Leadbitter Glass was approached by Mr & Mrs Markham from Leighton Buzzard to come up with a selection of designs suitable for a room divider for their home.

The glass partition was to replace a built-in aquarium that had just been removed and there was going to be an oak frame installed to house the new glass. As usual we created a Client Page for the project and we worked closely with the clients to agree on the perfect design. The Markhams visited our Northamptonshire studio on 2 occasions to ensure that the design was absolutley perfect and to see the full sized drawing before the work commenced.

The glass used was 6mm toughened glass with polished edges and the background of the glass was sandblasted with 8mm clear lines throughout the design.

The clients comments…..

Dear Francis,

The screen is beautiful and just what we wanted to complete the two rooms. The tiles become different shades depending on lighting conditions – natural and artificial light, plus of course recent Christmas lights! The first thing visitors see as they enter the dining room is the screen – it is certainly a ‘wow’ factor and a talking point. Thanks again for your time and patience with us as we decided what we wanted. We’ve attached three photos for you – but you are very welcome to pop in and take some yourself when you are next in the area.

Kind regards

Margaret and Chris
