Etched Glass British Museum Lions – St Albans

In late 2013 we took an order for two panels for a split glazed door and the client wanted the same lions from the British museum door design from our Etched Glass Inspirations page. The client lived in a house that used to be a pub called the Black Lion and she wanted to install glass that had a link with the history of the building.

The original museum glass design was created using the deep carved process which costs more but the clients opted for a standard etched and clear version. The background of the design is etched (sandblasted) glass and the detail in the lions is clear glass.
